Housing

  1. Can I own land?

You can own land in the game by purchasing a Lot Deed. Your housing will live in the persistent shared world. Land is not instanced and there is a limited number of lots in the world. Once a Lot Deed is purchased you can choose the lot you want from the open lots still available. You may own up to three lots in NPC Scenes, but there is no limit to the lots you can own in Player Owned Towns.

  2. How can I purchase a Lot Deed?

There are several ways to purchase a Lot Deed. Accounts at Ancestor level and above, or with a 2-Story Row House Bundle or above from any bundle path receive a Lot Deed. You can also purchase a Lot Deed in the game through earned in game currency, or purchase Lot Deeds from the Store. Additionally, you can win either a Player Owned Town or Anywhere deed by purchasing release-specific raffle tickets from Decorations Merchants with in-game gold. These tickets submit you (per ticket) for a chance at multiple lot deeds that are given away every release.

  3. What sizes do Lots come in?

Lots come in multiple sizes ranging from Row, Village, Town, City, Keep, and Castle. Many scenes in the game will have a mix of lot sizes available. The larger the scene, the larger the number of lots and the greater percentage of bigger lots will be available.

All tax free deeds have 120 days by default.

Your house (and the contents) will be placed in your bank. Decorations will not be maintained when you place the house again on a lot.

You can then move the house within the same scene, or move it to a different scene for 5 Gold Crowns of the Obsidian (COTOs). This tool is also handy if you want to swap multiple houses on the same lot.

  11. Can other players interact with my lot and/or house if I grant them access?

You will be able to set permissions on your lot that allow specific players the ability to interact with decorations on your lot. The permissions are Guest, Kindred, Trustee, and Co-Owner, which allow varying levels of access to your decorations. You can also ban a player from your house at any time.

  12. Do Lot Deeds and Houses work differently for offline characters?

Property works slightly differently for offline characters in the following ways. Tax Free Lot Deeds do not expire offline. All lot markers in the game are available to offline characters since they are not competing with other players for the land. Offline characters cannot interact with online characters in any way, which includes any lot markers placed by governors in Player Owned Towns.

Once a POT is implemented in the game, you can place NPC buildings, lot markers, pavers, and other decorations to bring your town to life.

  2. Does a town generate income in any way?

For Episode 1, we currently do not plan to have these towns generate income for the owner via the game systems. However players are free to earn income by renting the lots in their town to other players.

  3. Can I flag my player owned town as an Open PVP Zone?

Yes you can! There is a checkbox on the POT Submission Form indicating whether you’d like your POT to be flagged for PVP or not.

We have expired the sale of new POTs on our store. However, the owner of an existing POT can transfer ownership to you. In the siege, players can try to end the siege by defeat all siege engineers and any cabalist that appears, they can or rush past the enemies to the exit on the opposite side of the scene.
